Puffy Sleeves & Pencil Skirts

When I want to feel extra feminine, I always slip into a pencil skirt. It's the perfect way to showoff my curves and to feel like I'm going somewhere fancy. I used to always wear them when I worked in a corporate office, but back then, I couldn't really have much fun with them. I was limited to pairing my pencil skirts with silk button downs and office-appropriate blouses, but now it's fun to style them in more playful ways! In today's look, I did just that, pairing my plain white pencil skirt with a pink puffy sleeve wrap top, nude pumps and gold accessories.

I hope you're having a great week!

Positano had been on my list of must-see places for such a long time before my handsome fiancĂ©, Frank, and I got around to booking a trip there. It was on my list for the obvious reasons: stunning views of the coast, delicious handmade pasta, fresh caught seafood, authentic gelato and because we knew there would be endless things to do and sights to see. In our 6 days in Positano, we did day trips to Amalfi, Capri, Ravello and Praiano and while that sounds like a lot of ground to cover, it was really mangeable. As much as we both love adventures and itineraries, we also love just wandering down a random street and picking up a few scoops of gelato. To me a great vacation is balanced. You hit some of the cool touristy I-did-this-for-Instagram spots and spend some days vegging out by the hotel pool. Positano was everything that I thought it would be and more so while it is now officially checked off my bucket list, I'm already mentally planning our next trip back. There's just something about Italy.

I hope you enjoy these photos!

Summer Sunsets

Anytime that I'm feeling stressed, I can always count on a sunset walk to relax me and calm my mind. Taking a stroll through this lovely garden really helped me to decompress. When feeling you're feeling a tad overwhelmed, always stop and smell the roses.

Have a great weekend!

I hope you had a great Fourth of July weekend! I spent mine in Lake Tahoe and it was a much needed escape. Believe it or not I didn't take any pictures while I was there, which was hard, because it is such a gorgeous place. Sometimes, it's nice to just enjoy the moment instead of documenting it. These red, white and blue looks are from a shoot that I did with J Villa Photo a while back but I thought that they were perfectly festive for the occasion.

Thanks for visiting!
