On The Move With Rockport

Sponsored by Zappos
Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger, Skirt: Xoxo, Jacket: Sheinside, Shoes: Rockport via Zappos

I still remember the first time I went abroad. My eyes got so big at every twist and turn. Seeing the culture around me was a sensory experience that I had never had never felt before. And, in that moment, I got bitten by the travel bug. Suddenly, I had this new found curiosity for the world around me and I wanted to discover every inch of it. I had become one of those "movers" that I was always hearing about. So now, I make it a priority to see as many sights as I can. As much as I love to get a new stamp on my passport, I recently started planning more local trips. We have so many hidden gems that are right under our noses here in the United States. That's why one of my besties and I decided to plan a little road trip through the south.

One of the many stops on our journey, was to a beautiful and historic covered bridge in Gowensville, South Carolina. As you can imagine, covered bridges aren't something that we have a lot of in California, especially LA, so we were tickled at the thought of seeing one. Of course, any adventure calls for great shoes that are not only stylish but also comfortable. Rockport's pumps were just that. They took me from a lovely breakfast at our B&B to shopping on the streets of Tryon and strolling under this gorgeous red bridge. They were also perfect for a long day of driving. When I want a shoe that is polished, put together and comfortable I know that I can always count on Rockport and when I want it to arrive fast I know that I can count on Zappos. Shoes
that are perfect for the movers of the world. I like the sound of that.

I would love to hear about adventures that you have been on lately.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday!
Just a quick post to share some more images from my recent trip to Napa with GirlTalk Network. It was so nice to get a taste of fall and to pull out some new pieces that I just can't get enough of. As you all already know, I'm a huge fan of Patricia Nash's handbags so when I got my hands on this gorgeous black one I knew that it would be perfect for not only fall, but also for Napa! I paired it with a striped button down and a little black skort for a day of wine tasting. Also, speaking of wine, the ladies and I took a wine train through napa and ended up at the most stunning castle! It was the so wonderful for exploring with a great group of girls. Sometimes, I forget how quick and easy it is to get to San Francisco, especially when I fly SouthWest! They got us (and all of our bags!) there in style and with no baggage fees. That's what I'm talking about! It was an unforgettable trip!

Do you love Napa as much as I do?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Feeling Fab In San Francisco

Outfit via Just Fab: Scarf, Earrings, Trench, Jeans, Bag, Shoes
In collaboration with Just Fab & Girl Talk Network
Photos by: Ashley Streff

Could there be a better way to kick of fall than with a girls trip to Napa & San Francisco!? Definitely not! In the blogging industry, it can sometimes be tough to find a group that you "click with" and who support you and see you as a friend, rather than competition. Too often, women compare themselves to one another instead of seeing each other as allies. When I joined the Girl Talk network, it was a breath of fresh air. Finally a group where women support each other and lift each other up. Where we believe in each others dreams and goals and work toegther to make them a reality. I've learned that there is power in numbers and when you surround yourself with passionate, supportive, like-minded ladies only great things can happen. There is room for all of us in this industry so let's keep the #WomenSupportingWomen movement going.

Just Fab, of course, was the perfect choice for my San Francisco look. They used to only sell shoes but now they are a one stop shop for HEAD-TO-TOE fabulous outfits for all body types! This trench and denim combo was perfect for a chilly day in the city. Insert statement heels and a colored crossbody and voila - fall fabulous!

A Well Placed Ruffle

Dress: ASOS via ASOS Occasionwear Shop (also loving this color) Bag: Lulu's (similar), Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Photos by: Chastnikova Photography
A well placed ruffle adds the perfect touch of femininity to an outfit. I wore this glamorous ASOS maxi while in Riviera Maya, Mexico and I felt so fierce and fabulous. ASOS has always been one of my favorite places to shop, and I typically gravitate toward the dressier pieces, so I was obviously ecstatic when I heard about the launch of their occasionwear shop! It is definitely my go-to place for head turning event and party looks.

Where is your favorite place to shop for special occasion looks?

A Classic Silhouette

Top: Morris Day The Label, Pants: Ralph Lauren, Shoes: Love Culture, Watch: Tory Burch, Necklace: Charlotte Russe, Bag: Mansur Gavriel
Photos by: Jonny Villanueva
High waisted trousers are just one of those wardrobe staples that every woman should own. They are classic, sophisticated and so versatile! Over the years, I have styled this pair with everything from a coral bodysuit, to a striped turtleneck & even a leather jacket! That just goes to show that they are perfect for any occasion and are easily dressed up or down depending on how you style them. Today, I gave them a bit of a trendy look by pairing them with a blue striped off the shoulder top, hot pink lipstick and neutral accessories.

Do you own a pair of high-waisted cream trousers? How do you style yours?

Thanks so much for visiting!

Puffy Sleeves & Pencil Skirts

Top: Sheinside, Skirt: Forever 21, Necklace: Adornmonde, Bracelet: Forever 21, Bag: Gucci, Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Photos by: Jonny Villanueva

When I want to feel extra feminine, I always slip into a pencil skirt. It's the perfect way to showoff my curves and to feel like I'm going somewhere fancy. I used to always wear them when I worked in a corporate office, but back then, I couldn't really have much fun with them. I was limited to pairing my pencil skirts with silk button downs and office-appropriate blouses, but now it's fun to style them in more playful ways! In today's look, I did just that, pairing my plain white pencil skirt with a pink puffy sleeve wrap top, nude pumps and gold accessories.

I hope you're having a great week!
