Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Just a quick post to share this preppy layered look. This navy blue striped sweater paired perfectly with my mustard pencil skirt. I topped it off with a cream coat with a contrasting hem for an extra pop of visual interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Feminine Meets Masculine

Suit: ASOS Mens (similar here & here), Blouse: J Crew, Earrings: Bauble Bar, Necklace: Bauble Bar, Ring: Bauble Bar, Bag: ASOS, Shoes: Jimmy Choo

Juxtaposition is one of those things that takes an outfit from cool to absolutely fabulous. So when I found this floral print suit in the Mens department at ASOS, not only was I shocked but I was excited to style it. While the lines in the suit are masculine, the pattern screams girly girl - juxtaposition done right, if you ask me. I styled it with simple nude pumps, a purple velvet crossbody and statement earrings.

I hope you'r having a great week so far!

Beauty That Counts

Some nights, falling asleep seems impossible. My brain is going a mile a minute, and I can't stop thinking about all the things I need to do in the morning. So how do I wind down when my brain is still saying wake up? I step away from electronics, curl up with a good book and steep a piping hot cup of tea

But of course no good nights sleep would be complete without my beauty must haves. For starters, my silk pillowcase is absolutely essential. Why? Because sleeping on a silk pillowcase keeps your hair looking smooth and shiny so you don't wake up with the dreaded bed head. And since the fabric glides softly against your skin, it won't absorb all of your night cream or cause you to wake up with unsightly lines on your face.
Speaking of night cream, I always love to find practical products that don't cost a fortune and won't irritate my skin. When I discovered Mary Kay's TimeWise Repair Volu-Firm Eye Renewal Cream,  TimeWise Firming Eye Cream and Indulge Soothing Eye Gel, they were the perfect fit for my nighttime routine! While Volu-Firm formulation prevents fine lines and wrinkles, TimeWise works to firm and repair sagging skin and to increase skins moisture for up to 12 hours. The soothing eye gel is great for day or night, and is the perfect solution for those mornings when you wake up with puffy eyes. But what I love most about these products is that if you buy any one of them between now and February 15th, 2017, you can purchase one of Mary Kay's Beauty That Counts Sleeping Eye Masks for just $1! All of the proceeds from the mask sales go directly to The Mary Kay Foundation, a charity that donates millions of dollars to organizations that serve women and children in the fight against domestic violence. Then you too can sleep soundly knowing that you're making a difference.

Manhattan Sunrise

Dress: ASOS (on sale), Belt: Vintage, Necklace: Call It Spring, Shoes: B Brian Atwood (old), Bracelet: Brighton Collectibles, Bag: Spartina
Photos by: Danny Fung
Catching a sunrise on the Brooklyn Bridge is one of those rare things that only happens a few times in your lifetime, especially if you're like me and really like sleeping in. But I must say, it's worth the sacrifice. It's like the whole city stops for just a second and you're able to take it all in before the hustle and bustle of the day starts again. I knew that this orange dress would be the perfect pop of color against the city backdrop and it would be the perfect complement to the glow of the morning sun.

I hope you enjoy this post!

Gold Pleats

Top: Missguided, Skirt: ASOS (similar), Bag: Chanel via Bag Borrow or Steal, Necklace: Capwell & Co., Shoes: Charlotte Russe

Happy Tuesday!
I'm so sorry that I've been kind of incognito lately. The past month has been SO busy with travel and while I sometimes get a bit behind on blog posts, I always try to stay on top of my Instagram game. With that being said, I thought I would kick off my return with this gorgeous gold pleated maxi skirt. I knew that I would love styling this beauty, but once I saw how well it photographed, I really knew that it was a great purchase! The fabric is made of a thick pleather-like material so it is really structured and will definitely keep you warm in the colder months - perfect for party season.

I hope your week is going well so far!

All That Glitters

When it comes to dressing for holiday parties, I like to style looks that are guaranteed to make me standout from the crowd. While the little red dress & the sparkly sequin mini are tried and true, I prefer to opt for unexpected pieces with unique details. For today's holiday party look, I layered a black, mesh, embellished INC International Concepts top under a sparkly gold INC pullover. In order to show the maximum amount of sparkle, I pushed up my sleeves. This look is glamorous, yet cozy, making it the perfect option for casual holiday parties or cocktail hour. Also, since I have layered a sweater over the top portion it would be conservative enough for a church party or an office event. You can  remove the sweater for a look that is more formal and a bit sexy. This looks perfect paired with denim or you can swap it out for an a-line skirt. Versatility is key when it comes to dressing for the holidays!

What is your go-to look for holiday party season?
