 Happy Thursday!
I've been wearing my black distressed denim like crazy lately! I love that you can dress them up or down depending on what you pair it with. Today I paired my jeans with a black and white shirtdress. I don't typically go for the dress with jeans trend but theses silhouettes just worked so well toegther. Never say never!

Sometimes we don't realize how much our surroundings influence us. We subconsciously make choices based on what we're exposed to and we develop our taste and personal style based on our environment. Living in Los Angeles has made me appreciate fashion that is colorful, ladylike and sophisticated. I love to juxtapose different styles to create an outfit that is visually interesting and unique. In today's look, I paired a snake print INC International Concepts trench with a burgundy tunic and a matching burgundy statement necklace. Comfortable dresses are always a go-to for me and styles with elegant details like buttons and lace are even more appealing. This look could easily be dressed down with tights and black booties, but I decided to keep things polished by adding sleek pointed toed pumps and a suede crossbody bag -- perfect for a day of meetings in Manhattan. Even when I travel, my LA style shines through. And, who says you can't bring a little bit of LA color to The big apple?

The Color Of The Season

Dress: Hot Miami Styles, Earrings: H&M, Rings: Pandora, Bracelts: Swarovski
Photos by: Jonny Villanueva
It's officially fall, but I'm not ready to hang up my maxi's just yet! And plus, this one is burgundy which makes it fall appropriate right!? Okay, maybe not, but we're still having a major heat wave in LA so I'm going to be showing off a little leg (or a lot, in this case!) for a while longer. I am excited for cocoa season though. This dress was so out of my comfort zone so I figured, why not. It's flowy, sexy and of course, I'm obsessed with the color!

A Sweet Sentiment

Going out to your mailbox is often daunting because it means bills on top of bills on top of bills. But every once in a while, therein lies a glossy envelope and inside it, a greeting card that gives you the warm and fuzzies. It's often unexpected but the joy that you feel once you see the front of it is unparalleled. Sure it's easy to drop a nice note on someones Facebook wall, or even to send a tried and true e-card, but there's nothing like knowing that someone took the time to hand select a special card for you and then sealed the envelope, slapped a stamp on it and put it in the mail. Mailing a greeting card may seem old fashioned, but it's a great way to go the extra mile on a special occasion. Maybe you want to thank your best friend for throwing you a surprise party, or you want to send your mom a sweet birthday note. No matter the sentiment, Papyrus is always my one stop shop for greeting cards, gift bags and even fun office supplies! The new Papyrus x Lela Rose collaboration stopped me in my tracks because it is the epitome of feminine, classy and sophisticated. The cards come in the most playful colors and prints and have high end finishes like floral appliqué, rhinestones and glitter. I can't wait to send these beauties to the special ladies in my life. I know that they will love them as much as I do.

Do you love sending and receiving greeting cards? If so be sure to check out the Papyrus x Lela Rose collection.

Goodbye Summer

Top: Wow Couture, Gaucho's: Morning Lavender, Bag: YSL, Shoes: Gianvitto Rossi, Watch: Swarovski, Ring: Capwell & Co. Sunnies: Amazon

The last days of summer are officially upon us. It's kind of sad to think about because there is something about summertime that makes me feel so carefree and uninhibited. The days are longer, everyone seems to be off on glamorous vacations and our clothes are light, bright and airy. It happens to be my favorite season because (if you haven't noticed) I love vibrant colors and bold prints. But fall offers us many things to look forward to. Pumpkin patches, cozy scarves, over the knee boots. There's certainly a silver lining, but I will miss my crop tops and denim cut off shorts. I guess it's not goodbye though, just see ya later.

Sneakers & Stripes

Top: Frame Denim, Jeans: Black Orchid Denim, Bag: Shop Flynn, Shoes: Tretorn, Sunnies: Amazon, Rings: Adorn Monde, Earrings: Icing

Sneakers, stripes and the perfect pink crossbody bag. You guys know that I'm not much of a sneakers girl, but when I find a pair that is comfortable and stylish I can certainly make an exception. This look was perfect for an early morning airport trip. Not pictured? The three giant suitcases and carryon bags that I had in tow. But can you blame me!? New York Fashion Week is only twice a year, I can't leave any of my favorites behind.

I'll be sharing more looks form New York Fashion Week very soon.

New York Fashion Week Accessories Remixed

Dress: Storets (similar), Watch & Sunnies: ASOS, Red Top: Alexia Maria, Striped Pants: Finders Keepers, Bag: Call It Spring, Necklace: Call It Spring, Shoes: Call It Spring

New York Fashion Week is my favorite fashion event of the year because we get all dressed up, stroll the streets on NYC and take in all of the fashion from the runways. The biggest dilemma I often have is packing, or overpacking rather. I never want to leave any of my favorite pieces behind which usually results in overweight baggage fees. But this season, I decided to do things differently. Sure you don't want to get caught wearing the same outfit twice but accessories can be reworked to go with many different looks and they happen to be the major culprit when it comes to weighed down suitcases. For Day 3 of New York Fashion Week I partnered with Call It Spring to style their gold choker, navy blue carryall, and printed pumps two ways. For my daytime look, I paired my accessories with a sleek off the shoulder trench dress. This look was perfect for strolling the streets of NYC and visiting showrooms. For my evening look I wanted something that was bit more high fashion to wear to the runway shows, so I paired a red ruffled crop top with high waisted striped pants and added in my Call It Spring printed pumps. Do you ever re-work your accessories to save space when traveling?

Thanks so much for visiting me!
