Thanksgiving Tablescape

Photos by: Jonny Villanueva

Happy Thanksgiving eve!
For today's post, I enlisted the help of my dear friend, Annette of A Vintage Splendor. Her blog is filled with everything from vintage fashion finds, to delicious cocktail recipes and even easy entertaining ideas. So I knew that she would be the right person to ask for help with decorating for the upcoming holiday. I really wanted to put together a beautiful tablescape for Thanksgiving dinner, since I'm hosting my family this year, so we mixed a variety of things together to achieve the perfect look. First, I added some faux fall foliage with leaves, pumpkins and gourds to the center. I then mixed in candles with different heights to add texture and bit more of a romantic vibe. Since no centerpiece is complete without fresh flowers, I decided to pick up a few of my favorite styles. Roses, sunflowers, mums and babies breath came together perfectly in gold, glittery, (diy) mason jars and with Annette's expertise, we created the perfect arrangements. Once the centerpiece was complete, we moved on to the place settings. We stuck with neutral plates and gold chargers for a subtle yet glamorous vibe and added in a pop of color with green and white patterned napkins. To top it all off Annette suggested that we add in a touch of fresh rosemary - so brilliant! It was a lovely finishing touch and it made the napkins smell amazing! The very last detail was to make the table a bit more personal, so we wrote down a few things that we are thankful for a spread them throughout the centerpiece. Now during dinner, this will serve as the perfect reminder as to what this holiday is all about and it will encourage my family members to share what they are most thankful for. With this beautiful table I am even more excited for Thanksgiving!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday filled with family, friends, laughter and love! Be sure to take a peek at Annette's amazing blog
