To celebrate Nicole by Nicole Miller's 10 year anniversary I have partnered with JCPenney to style this casual fall look. Over the years, Nicole by Nicole Millers's line has evolved from girl next door chic to being a one stop shop for any girl on the go, no matter what her style preference is. What I love most about the collection today is the juxtaposition between feminine and edgy. The bright colors, graphic prints and form-fitting silhouettes are feminine while the leather detailing and bold use of metallic hardware make things just a bit more edgy. My outfit is a perfect example! Since the weather is still super hot in LA, I paired leggings with faux leather detailing and a silky purple blouse. I added in a structured black shoulder bag with gold hardware and matching gold pumps. I love that this is casual enough for a weekend look or easily dressed up with a tailored blazer for a day at the office!

A big thank you to Nicole by Nocole Miller for partnering with me on this post and to JCPenney!

Happy Monday!

Are there trends that you're obsessed with!?

Clean Lines

Top: Forever 21, Skirt: Forever 21, Bag: Just Fab (similar), Shoes: Stuart Weitzman, Sunnies: Chloe via Ditto, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: Anarchy Street

It doesn't get more classic than a form-fitting pencil skirt. This used to be my go-to when I worked in an office but these days, I don't wear pencil skirts nearly enough. I always love the way I feel in them though. The way they hug a womans body to create the ultimate ladylike silhouette. I paired this mustard skirt with a black off the shoulder top to keep my look modern and on-trend for summer.

Are you a fan of this sleek style too? Thanks so much for visiting!

Fall Fashion W/ Santa Monica Promenade

With the changing of the seasons, often comes new wardrobe pieces. Whether you're heading back-to-school, or just looking for some swanky new threads to wear to work, the Santa Monica Promenade is a one stop shop for all of your favorite fall fashion trends! For today's post, I'm sharing three Men's and Women's looks that are perfect for transitioning to fall.
For the first look, Johnny and I paired one of fall's biggest trends - military! To soften my look, I paired my Camouflage jeggings with a light pink moto jacket. I kept the rest simple with a plane v-neck and strappy nude sandals. I know that sandals don't seem practical for fall, but here in SoCal we tend to pull them out from time to time all year round. Maybe we're just a bit spoiled by our perfect weather?
I added in a studded top handle tote for a bit more visual interest, and a silver and gold pendant necklace to keep things glamorous. For Johnny's look, I styled his cargo jacket with lots of cozy layers. A three-quarter sleeve t-shirt served as the perfect base for his outfit. I added in a flannel button-down before topping it all off with a lightweight jacket. Of course you can't have California-cool style without some sleek Ray Bans and a fresh pair of Converse sneakers.
Or maybe you like to keep things extra casual on the weekends...No problem! Tweed shorts are perfect for the season, add in a wool sweater and a lightweight denim jacket for added warmth. A bold scarf in a fun color or print is a great accessory to keep you feeling cozy and stylish. Comfy cardigans are perfect for menswear too! Don't be shy guys. For Johnny's look, we kept things monochromatic with light wash denim and paired it with another handy plaid button-down shirt for a pop of color and print.
Last but not least, fabulous work wear is an absolute must! I've always been a firm believer in dressing for the job that you want...not the job that you have. So I enlisted the help of this tailored red pencil skirt and styled it with a silky button down and a black and white printed blazer. Statement pumps aren't just for the weekend! They are professional while also making a look a little unique. I added in a houndstooth pair to complement my jacket.
Guys, you don't have to feel limited by your work wardrobe this fall. Change things up by adding a brightly colored sweater over your tie and button down shirt. If you're in a formal office environment, you can still top it off with a blazer to keep your outfit looking professional. Or, if you want to go for more of a California-cool vibe, add in some fresh sneakers.

#EKeeneTravels: Opus Hotel Vancouver

Look 1: Romper: ASOS, Shoes: ASOS, Look 2: Top: ASOS, Skirt: Express (similar), Shoes: Charlotte Russe, Bag: Lulu's, Workout Gear, Top: Nike, Leggings: Beyond Yoga, Jacket: Lorna Jane, Shoes: New Balance
Images Taken At Opus Hotel
As if two post are really enough to recap my Vancouver adventure. Bare with me as I try my best. Part two of my Vancouver trip consisted of exploring Whistler's stunning mountain tops, meandering around the quaint neighborhood of Yaletown, an evening boat ride through Olympic Village and moving over a few blocks to the charming Opus Hotel. They go by the slogan "Uniquely Stylish, Always Fresh". Opus Hotel is uniquely stylish, indeed. From the colorful rooms, to the retro candies that they leave on your pillow, Opus has thought of every. last. detail. When Enocha and I arrived to our room, we were delighted to find airheads on our pillows. "Airheads!? Do they even make those anymore?" The answer is yes and we savored every last bite. When we told the hotel what and amazing idea it was they said that they wanted candy that made people feel nostalgic. Mission accomplished. As I munched on my sugar taffy, I thought of the fondest childhood memories and waltzed around my room with glee. This is just one of many details that sets Opus apart from other hotels. However, another detail, not to be missed, are the heated floors. I know this seems like an unnecessary luxury, but you'll have to tell that to my weary toes as they step out of the shower in wee hours of the morning. It is pure bliss. The room and bathroom give you the ultimate vacation experience, but should you decide that you need to venture out for food or libations, the Opus Bar is a happening place to be. Whether it's for evening cocktails or coffee and a (mouthwateringly good) donut in the AM you won't be sad that you did.

This hotel wouldn't just be one that I recommend, it is one that I encourage. Go to Opus to explore Vancouver and to release your inner child. Relax, unwind and send your mind on the ultimate vacation. You won't regret it.

I hope you enjoyed this travel post!
