Print & Pattern Play

Shirt: American Eagle (similar), Dress: Melange Mode, Necklace: TJ Maxx, Watch: Daniel Wellington, Shoes: Charlotte Russe, Bag: Prada

Happy Tuesday guys & dolls!
Today's look is one of my absolute faves because as you already know, I'm obsessed with print mixing! This Melange Mode dress had the perfect full skirt & all over print, so I decided what better way to add (more) visual interest than by adding a layered button down underneath!? This technique especially comes in handy during the colder months or when you just want to put your own unique spin on a short sleeved dress.

Do you love layering as much as I do?

Thanks so much for reading!

Something Special

Dress: Forever Unique, Clutch: Vintage, Shoes: Charlotte Russe, Necklace: Tiffany & Co., Earrings: J Crew, Ring: Anarchy Street, Bracelet: Forever 21
Photos by: Jonny Villanueva

This dress is special. For the simple fact that it made me feel like a million bucks when I put it on. Could it be the jacquard fabric? The beaded waist? The fit-and-flare skirt? Or the blue and orange color scheme? Or could it be the fact that they were all combined to create one beautiful, ready-to-twirl-the-day-away dress. Yes, I agree -- it's the latter. Forever Unique has quickly become one of my go-to brands for formal events or just anytime that I want to feel extra special. Remember these other Forever Unique looks that I wore here, here and here? Which look is your favorite? Also, catch this look and 5 others in my latest "Outfits Of The Week" Youtube video here!

Thanks so much for visiting me!

Happy Monday everyone!
I just wanted to quickly share this casual look that I shot a few weeks back. Today, I'm traveling to DC and this look made me think of my favorite kind of travel outfits. I always love wearing a cozy scarf or cape, comfy denim and a great hat. This black and white color palette is also perfect for traveling because it's casual while also being polished and a little chic -- my favorite. Be sure to follow along on Twitter & Instagram for a little peek into my trip. I love the east coast so much!

Let's Get Lost

 Happy Friday everyone!
Lately, I have been feeling a little uninspired. I think it's common. The way writers can sometimes get writers block, I think that fashion bloggers can get inspiration block. As much as I love blogging and I'm so lucky to be able to have made a career out of it,  there is definitely a shift that happens once it becomes your full-time job. Sometimes, I feel so overwhelmed by deadlines and stressed about clothes piling up that I don't really take as much time as I would like to do things, shoots, that make me happy. This shoot is one where I did just that. Jonny and I wandered off into a magical field of flowers with nothing but a camera and a vision and afterwards we were so happy with the results. I shot these images just because I wanted to. Because they made me smile. I hope you like them too.

Do you ever get inspiration block? I'd love to hear some of your tips for managing it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's Tuesday and I'm still kind of recovering from this past weekends Coachella festivities. Fun was had by all as we set off early Friday morning en route to Palm Springs. We checked in to our hotel and then promptly set out to look for a cool spot to shoot. Palm Springs has no shortage of visually interesting locations. We decided to go for a traditional desert vibe complete with mountains and rocky terrain. I let my floral maxi be the star of the show pairing it with a floppy hat, to keep the sun out of my eyes and structured black accessories. My chunky black sandals were perfect for the weekend, believe it or not, and they proved to be as comfy as they are cute. Of course, no trip to the desert would be complete without a little pool time, so I paired my high-waisted denim cut-off shorts with a coral plunging one piece (totally out of my comfort zone but, I kind of loved it!). For day two of fun in the sun, I styled a playful romper with sky high wedges and a pretty pink crossbody. This look was perfect for shooting at the colorful Saguaro Hotel, I just have to go back here one day as a hotel guest, this place made me feel so happy and cheerful. Lastly for a night out, I paired this chic and sexy off-the-shouler lace top with wide leg denim and a tailored black hat. Coachella was too much fun, I'm already planning my attack for next year. A big thank you to Lulu's for sending me on this fun-filled weekend getaway!

And thank you all so much for reading!
