Happy Friday everyone!
For today's look, I'm sharing one of my favorite little shift dresses. When I first got this dress I wasn't sure how I was going to wear it, but I have found myself wearing it non-stop! Why? It's really comfortable, I love the print, and it can be dressed up or down! Today I decided to put a bit of a preppy spin on it by layering a collared shirt underneath. I stuck with gold accessories and cream pumps to keep things simple and added a leather jacket for just a little bit of edge.

I hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

Steal of A Deal

Shirt: Merona via Target c/o, Skirt: Peter Pilotto for Target c/o, Jacket: Vintage (thrifted), Earrings: H&M, Necklace: Compassion Brands c/o, Bag: Gianni Bernini via Macy's (similar here), Bracelets: Charlotte Russe & Gifted, Watch: Vintage, Sunglasses: Prada, Shoes: Zara (recent)

Today's post is all about sharing my latest Target bargains with you! When I popped into their store this past weekend, I thought that I should peruse the clearance racks before heading over to search for full priced items and boy was I thrilled that I did! I scored this Peter Pilotto for target pencil skirt for just under $9 and felt as happy as a kid in a candy store. I continued to search the racks only to then find this great blouse on sale too, for only $16! I guess it was my lucky day. Since these prints have similar colors, I decided to pair them together to create a sophisticated and feminine look. I then added a vintage white jacket over my shoulders, stacked gold jewelry and baby blue pumps to keep things light and bright. I just love finding chic looks for less.

Instagram Diary: 3 Day Cleanse W/ Pressed Juicery

Pressed Juicery c/o Follow Me On Instagram @ElizabethKeene (Photo 2 via @PressedJuicery)
In the days leading up to New York fashion week I was in desperate need of a pick-me-up, since I knew that I would be venturing out into the city where my days would be long, my meals would be inconsistent and my diet would be non-exsistent. I decided to do my first ever juice cleanse. Juicing isn't something that's new to me. After the holidays I like to make homemade green juice, by blending celery, cucumbers, kale, spinach and lemon juice. I replace one meal a day with the juice and it helps my diet to get back on track. But this time, I was doing full on juicing -- three days, no solid foods. In the morning, I kicked off the day with my go-to "Greens 1" before moving on to the refreshing "Citrus 1" drink that had the perfect amount of lemon juice and cayenne pepper. I chose Pressed Juicery's Cleanse Three because since I'm carb sensitive, I wanted to focus more on vegetables and less on fruits. During the cleansing process it's important to drink lots of water to rid your body of toxins. So after my first 2 drinks of the day I had one bottle of water before moving on to my next green juice. "Greens 2" contains apple so it had the perfect balance of sweet and nutritious. "Greens 1" is up again next and it's about as healthy as a green juice can get. This is the point where I started to crave the delightful taste of my daily dose of dark chocolate on my tongue. I'm only human. When these cravings did hit me, I was armed with delicious herbal tea in a great variety of flavors. It was a simple and absolutely necessary distraction. I finished out my day with "Greens 3", a beautiful blend of apple, green juice and ginger, before getting to enjoy a little dessert. Well, kind of. The Vanilla Almond milk is special. It's milky, sweet and delightfully refreshing, the perfect reward after a day of cleansing.

After my three day cleanse with Pressed Juicery, I felt healthy and revitalized. Sure, I was hungry in the beginning, but after the first day you get used to the juices and find yourself excited to drink them. It's definitely something that I want to try to do a few times a year. You can order their juices online (nationwide delivery!) or go into any one of their 13 So Cal locations, including the one that just opened in Old Town Pasadena!

Sporty Chic

Shirt: Target c/o, Sweatshirt: Target c/o, Jeans: Target c/o, Shoes: Charlotte Russse c/o, Necklaces: Nina Shoes & Forever 21, Bracelet: Gifted & Ann Taylor, Watch: Michael Kors, Clutch: Sole Society
I am so excited to be partnering with Target for the next year to put together chic and affordable fashion posts! As you're probably well aware, Target has a fabulous fashion section and their clothes are always trendy and affordable. For the first assignment, I was instructed to put together an outfit that was "sporty chic" incorporating athletic wear.  With the sportswear trend being huge on and off the runway, I was excited for the challenge. I decided to pair a baby blue sweatshirt with a plaid button down, distressed boyfriend jeans and a few sparkly accessories to create a look that was equal parts stylish and comfortable. It's definitely nice to take a break from tailored skirts and dresses once in a while.

Happy President's Day!
Today I wanted to share one of my favorite looks from New York Fashion Week with you. I have been wanting to try the menswear trend for quite some time now, and when I found this great double breasted blazer at my local thrift store it gave me so much inspiration. I knew that I wanted to pair it with a printed tie to keep things modern and loved the way that these prints complemented each other. I have never worn a tie before but something about them just have a way of making you feel confident and sophisticated all day. Also, all of these layers made this my warmest look while I was in the snowy city. This is definitely a trend that you will be seeing more of here.

How do you feel about ladies wearing menswear?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you have an amazing day!

Happy Saturday everyone! For today's casual weekend look I decided to mix prints by layering a plaid button down on top of a striped shirt. I love the way the patterns play off of each other. I then added in pretty gold accessories with a wrap watch, a pink cross body bag and white pumps.

Valentine's Day Violet

With Valentine's Day just days away, I've started thinking about what I want to wear to celebrate the occasion. As much as I love skirts and dresses I decided that I would take a risk and go with a pretty purple jumpsuit instead. The color is what first caught my eye when I spotted it on the Charlotte Russe website, but when it came in the mail the fit is what really sold me. I decided to accessorize it with a statement bauble necklace to add color and a sheet metal belt to emphasize the waist. I then added in snakeskin sandals and a studded bag just for fun.

What will you be wearing on your Valentine's Day Date?

Thanks so much for reading!
