Knits & Blues

Dream Tribal Knit Sweater: Necessary Clothing c/o, Skirt: Forever 21, Earrings: H&M, Necklace: My Monogram Necklace c/o, Bracelets: Charlotte Russe & Forever 21, Shoes: Charlotte Russe c/o, Bag: Prada

Happy Friday everyone!
Today's look is one where comfort meets glamour. I paired a mint colored knit sweater with a blue jersey pencil skirt. I initially wanted to pair this sweater with white denim, but I figured I would challenge myself to dress it up a bit. I stuck with blue on blue adding in touches of gold and nude accessories.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Maximized Leather

Faux Leather Jacket: Forever 21 (also loving this option), Dress: ASOS (similar here and here), Necklace: Forever 21, Earrings: H&M, Bracelets: Charlotte Russe & Forever 21, Watch: Kessaris Quartz, Shoes: Bebe (similar style here), Bag: Prada

The weather near the coast can be really finicky. By 6pm in Manhattan Beach it tends to get really chilly, so having a layer to add to your daytime maxi is a must. I paired this pretty green, faux leather jacket (also seen here) with my black maxi dress for a chic yet simple dinner look. I added cap toe pumps, a structured bag, and a few silver accessories to finish off the outfit.

I hope you are having a great week!

Peachy Keene

Blazer: Zara (also loving this one), Shirt: AG Jeans c/o, Shorts: Charlotte Russe c/o (similar here), Pearl Earrings: Gifted, Layered Necklace: Sonia Hou Jewelry c/o, Name Necklace: My Monogram Necklace c/o, Lucite Bag: via Ebay, I phone Case: Charlotte Russe,  Bracelet: Boutique in New Orleans, Watch: Thrifted in Vermont, Shoes: Charlotte Russe c/o

For today's look I stuck with light pastels pairing a pretty peach blazer with a white v-neck, colorful shorts, and pointed toe wedges. Adding the blazer to this otherwise casual outfit really dressed it up and made things just a bit more polished. These shorts are so cute and comfy. They scream summer uniform.

Happy Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Fifties Flare

Top: Forever 21 (similar here), Blazer: Forever 21 (love this option),  Skirt: (dress worn as skirt) Vintage via The Loved One (similar here), Earrings: H&M, Necklace: Charlotte Russe, Sunglasses: No Brand (thrifted), Bracelets: Charlotte Russe & Charming Charlie, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Via Fairfax Flea Market, Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Maybe I was supposed to be born in the fifties, because the mere sight of a full skirt makes me weak in the knees. I bought this (dress worn as) skirt in December because it screamed holiday party dress, and to honest, I figured it would really only serve that purpose. But that's okay every year around the holiday's I could pull it out, twirl at a few parties, and it would totally be worth the money. Until, I decided that it could be worn as a skirt. And voila! I'm able to maximize my wardrobe and decrease the cost per wear. How did I do it? This trick works best for strapless dresses, but you fold the top part under and zip up the dress as much as it will go. Sometimes you need to add a safety pin to ensure that the zipper won't roll down. It's easy to do and stays put all day.

On another note, I am so excited to have reached 2000 "likes" on Facebook. Your support means so much to me and I truly appreciate it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog!

Little Grey Dress

Dress: Ark & Co via Lulu's, Shirt: Custom Men's, Earrings: Sole Society c/o, Bracelets: Charming Charlie & Vintage Bow Bracelet similar here, Bag: Nina Shoes c/o, Shoes: Charlotte Russe c/o, Lipstick: Lancome "Wannabe"

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed a great weekend!
Today I layered a contrasting collared shirt underneath this pretty grey dress to give it more of a casual look. Remember when I mentioned re-purposing your husband/boyfriends old shirts? That's what I did here, and it's one of my favorite tricks because it adds a really nice over-sized collar look that you just can't achieve with a shirt in your own size. I paired it with sparkly studs, a bow bracelet (that I thrifted in Vermont), and a lovely heart shaped bag. A few pretty sparkles always make for a great Monday!

Note to self: Do take off that ugly black hair tie when snapping outfit pictures. The perks of being your own photographer. C'est la vie.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Vintage Pleats

Top: Theory, Skirt: Vintage via The Loved One (similar here), Necklace: Image Boutique, Earrings: Tacori c/o, Belt: Vintage Thrifted, Scarf: Vintage, Clutch: Ebay,  Bracelets: Charlotte Russe & Forever 21, Shoes: Frederick's c/o

Sometimes it's okay to wear something just because it makes you happy. Like this pretty pleated skirt for instance. I found it at one of my favorite vintage shops and I've been in love with it ever since. I'm partial to things that I can twirl in, and I could certainly twirl around in this little beauty all day long. I stuck with black on black pairing my skirt with a lucite clutch, a printed scarf, and pretty gold accessories I hope you have a great Friday and a lovely weekend!

Thanks so much for reading everyone!

Double Stripe

Shirt: Forever 21, Blazer: H&M (old) similar here, Necklace: Forever 21, Pants: BCBG (similar here), Watch: Michael Kors, Earrings: Gifted, Shoes: Charlotte Russe c/o, Bag: Forever 21

I'm really loving the stripe trend that I've been seeing all over the place lately. It can look a bit like a referee uniform if not done correctly, so it's importat to add feminine touches to this bold trend. I paired my stripes with a floral crop top, high-waisted white pants, a pearl bibb necklace and strappy white sandals. I decided to add my striped bag just for fun and because I loved the way it looked against the blazer and pants.

I'm currently on the hunt for the perfect black and white striped, long line blazer. I was so inspired by this photo.

Thanks so much for reading! I hope you're having a great week so far!
