Off to Europe...

Image c/o
If you follow my Twitter and Instagram you may already know that I am currently gallivanting around the beautiful streets of London. Months ago my boyfriend and I planned a trip to Europe that seemed like it was so far away and now it's finally here! We are starting off in London before heading to Paris and the Dordogne Valley. Paris has always been on my to-visit list since I grew up speaking French as a child. I just can't wait to be immersed in the beautiful language and culture. Although I will slow down on the blogging, I'll be sure to do a few posts and update you on all that I am experiencing here in Europe; I can't help but take a million pictures! Until then feel free to follow my adventures on Twitter and Instagram: Username: elizabethkeene.

Color Crush

Dress: ASOS, Necklace: Via Fairfax Flea Market, Earrings: Gifted, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: J Crew, Bag: Alfani, Shoes: B Brian Atwood

Mixing two of my favorite colors today and I got to pull out my favorite fringed sandals! I topped it all off with a pretty red pout and gold accessories.

I'm so excited to be leaving for Europe tomorrow night! I have a full night of packing and some last minute errands ahead of me but I just can't wait to be strolling the streets of London.

I would love, love, love it if you could take a moment to vote for me in the 30 minutes with three dots contest! I would absolutely love the opportunity to meet creative Director Jadie Kadletz at the Three Dots headquarters! You can vote as many times as you want and you don't have to sign up or be a member! The Monday's

Top:  Calvin Klein, Skirt: Alfani, Necklace: Forever 21, Earrings: H&M, Sunglasses: Burberry,Watch: Michael Kors, Scarf: Vintage, Bag: Prada, Shoes: Gucci

Monday's tend to be a long day and often the hardest day of the week. We are all coming down from our "I'm so happy it's the weekend" mood and we are back at the office. I try to beat my back to work Monday blues by wearing something that I love. Today I enlisted the help of this cheerful yellow blouse and a pretty houndstooth skirt to get me through the day.

What's your Monday uniform?

Dress: c/o Tart Collections, Clutch: Vintage, Earrings: H&M, Necklace: Banana Republic, Bracelets: Gifted,  Shoes: Steve Madden

I never knew that I could be so in love with a maxi dress, I mean, I'm a girl who swoons over silk blouses and pencil skirts so a carefree flowing maxi just seems so wrong, right? Not at all, I've learned that maxi's too can be polished, put together, and glamorous despite their laissez faire vibe. Exhibit A, this wonderful black and white dress with a plunging back, hello gorgeous. The fact that it has this awesome black and white print is just icing on the cake. The moral of this story is that these easy breezy gown-like dresses are absolutely fabulous, and a one stop shop.

Shirt: Forever 21, Blazer: Zara, Shorts: Levi's, Necklace: J Crew, Earrings: H&M, Ring: Forever 21, Watch: Kessaris Quartz, Bracelets: Gifted, Bag: B Makowsky, Shoes: BCBG Generation

Today the heat finally let up a bit. It has been so hard to pick out outfits and take pictures lately because being outside is unbearable. My last few posts I shot in the evening for fear that I might melt during the daytime! Not to mention the fact that I have been staring into my closet full of coats and blazers longingly, wondering when I might be able to take one out for a spin gain, like the good ol' days. So today I decided was as good a day as any. I pulled out my pretty peach blazer and paired it with an oxford button up and denim cut off shorts. I love mixing feminine and masculine.

Proper Pleats

Vest, Belt, and Bag: Vintage, Skirt: Forever 21, Earrings: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Today I paired one of my favorite pleated skirts with a light shirt and a vintage vest for a casual chic look. I love the colors in this skirt because they make it so versatile. I paired this outfit with nude pumps which elongate the legs.

I am currently obsessed with pleated skirts, it has to be one of my favorite summer trends! What trend is your favorite? As always, thanks for reading!

I mixed one of my favorite color pairings, pink and blue for an easy breezy late afternoon strolling look. Warm summer nights remind me of when I used to live on the east coast. Not too hot, not too cold; just lovely.

I hope your Monday is going well!

Beauty Product Review: Arcona Skin Care

Arcona Products (c/o) From left to right: Triad Pads, Brightening Gommage, Magic White Ice

I recently started using three skin care products by Arcona, a holistic skin care brand based in Santa Monica.  I always love to find great products, whether it be at a department store or my neighborhood CVS; good skin care is a must.

The Triad Pads are my favorite! They remove makeup, tone, hydrate and firm your skin all while smelling good enough to eat -- it's the cranberry extract. After I used them my skin felt silky smooth and refreshed. They're great for me since I hate to buy multiple products! It's more time and more money for no real extra value. The fact that one powerful pad does so many things is nothing short of skin care product brilliance.

Next the Brightening Gommage is a powerful skin exfoliator where a little goes a long way. Not only does it exfoliate skin, but it also brightens and reduces the appearance of discoloration caused by things like sunspots, or scars from pesky little pimples. After using it for a few weeks (2-3 times a week) my skin is really clear and smooth. So many people forget about exfoliating, and it's just so important!

Lastly, the Magic white ice is a daily hydrating gel that is light enough to not clog pores, but substantial enough to moisturize any skin type all day. It doesn’t burn or irritate my sensitive skin which is a problem that I have had with other products in the past.

If you're like me, and are often wary of trying new products because of fear that you won't like them, a recommendation is always a great way to go. Arcona has really great products that are definitely worth trying!

Dress: c/o Tart Collections, Necklace: Forever 21, Earrings: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: Forever 21 & Gifted, Shoes: Ivanka Trump, Bag: Dereon

A pretty lace dress is a great wardrobe staple. You can dress it up or down for any occasion (for a summer wedding you could add strappy gold heels and a clutch, while in the fall you could add a blazer, leggings, and a great pair of boots). This dress in particular is good because you can wear it as just a shirt or a skirt by layering other pieces over top. However, right now we are experiencing the dog days of summer and layering clothes just isn't an option. Is it fall yet?

Thanks for reading! Xo

Thirty Minutes With Three Dots!

I am so excited to share with you the behind the scenes shots and video from my styling with Three Dots! I, along with two other Los Angeles fashion bloggers: Erica, and Nikoleta were chosen to be a part of the Thirty Minutes with Three Dots styling competition where we were invited to their showroom (at different times) and given two rolling racks of Three Dots merchandise along with shoes and accessories to style as many looks as possible in 30 minutes! After styling the looks, I then modeled them for photographer Vinh Nguyen while he captured it all with his camera. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day...
To see what I wore to the Three Dots showroom visit this post.

If you're having trouble viewing this video, or for the HD version click here.

Which look is your favorite? Be sure to visit their website here to vote for which one of my looks you like best! Remember you can vote as many times as you like and you don't have to create an account or anything. I would really appreciate your support!

Thank you all so much! Xo

Houndstooth & Heat Waves

Dress: ASOS, Belt: Vintage, Earrings: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors, Scarf: Vintage, Ring: Forever 21, Shoes: Gucci, Bag: Prada

I don't even think I need to begin to tell you how much I adore this dress. It's houndstooth and it's full skirted, what more could a girl want? It is just perfect for the heat wave that we have been experiencing here in LA. I sure hope it cools down (just a little bit) soon.

What's your go-to look when trying to beat the heat?

The Snark

Jumpsuit: BCBG Max Azria, Belt: H&M, Shoes: Ivanka Trump, Bracelet: Gifted, Necklace: Nordstrom Rack, Earrings: H&M

Here is a photo from a little shoot I did with Michael Yates a few weeks back. I absolutely love this BCBG jumpsuit and the backdrop for this picture. To see more pictures from this shoot and an interview visit his photography blog, I Am The Snark .

Flower Girl

Dress: Forever 21, Shirt: Ralph Lauren Sport, Earrings: H&M, Necklaces: J Crew & Gifted, Bag: Prada, Shoes: Gucci

I layered a light linnen shirt under my floral dress to give it a polished look. I then added a sparkly necklace with a edgier one to keep things interesting.  I topped it all off with a pretty pink lip for a little pop of color and my go-to black accessories.
